Project Overview
Inkululeko is a non-profit organization that proactively supports young learners in the community of Makhanda, South Africa. They launched a social enterprise called Common Ground Café, with the goal to provide a safe space for the Inkululeko learners to develop business skills and receive ongoing support after high school.

Scope of Work
Inkululeko needed a visual identity for Common Ground Café that makes it clearly discernible to the Makhanda community as well as Inkululeko donors, while still maintaining the association with Inkululeko. The Common Ground Café's physical location in Makhanda is a repurposed storage container, which was painted and renovated by Inkululeko learners and staff. The identity reflects the grit and resourcefulness of the social enterprise.

Colors & Logo
Vertical logo & logo lockups to establish the relationship between Common Ground Café and Inkululeko. Primary colors are the same as Inkululeko's brand colors, and secondary colors are exclusive to CGC.

Deliverables include a brochure sent to Inkululeko donors for information about the Common Ground Café and social media post templates. The social media graphics were made to fit on WhatsApp stories, Instagram stories, and Instagram posts.

Gatefold Brochure
This brochure was circulated to existing and prospective donors of Inkululeko, and it provided more information about the café. The gatefold design was inspired by the Common Ground Café container, allowing people to open the doors to the café to read more about it.

The social media posts were templates designed for Instagram and WhatsApp. The story post templates were made to fit both WhatsApp and Instagram stories, and the post templates were a 1:1 ratio, for Instagram and Facebook.
